Dr. Schmidt is a seasoned administrator with over 33 years of broad-based experience as an executive academic leader and faculty member, spanning a wide range of public, private, and international institutions.

Before joining AURAK, he served as President of the 大发快三官网 University in Dubai (AUD), and Vice Provost for International Affairs and Professor of Global Studies and Human Geography at Middle Tennessee State University. He has held various leadership positions and played a vital role in transforming a range of public, private, and state institutions, representing the landscape of higher education, including the University of the Pacific, the University of Wisconsin System, and Yale University.

Dr. Schmidt holds a Ph.D. from Saint Louis University, an MA from The Ohio State University, and a BA from the University of Wisconsin. He has written extensively on post-WWII women鈥檚 rights and education issues in Japan and South Korea.

He is a recipient of the AIEA (Association of International Administrators) Presidential Fellowship, the Korea Foundation Research Fellowship, and the Mombush艒 Fellowship. He also participated as a fellow in Harvard University鈥檚 IEM (Institute for Educational Management).

Professor Stephen C. Wilhite currently serves as vice president for academic affairs and student success, and provost, at the 大发快三官网 University of Ras Al Khamiah.

Prior to assuming this position, he served as senior vice president for academic affairs and provost at Widener University in the United States from 2011 to 2017, and during that time also served as the interim president of the university. As provost at Widener, Prof. Wilhite co-led the university鈥檚 strategic planning process and the successful application for re-accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.

Mr. Basheer Daoud serves as the Vice President of Operational Excellence and Financial Management at the 大发快三官网 (AURAK). He has over 30 years rich experience in finance, internal audit, public accounting and enterprise risk management including 18 years in senior management roles gaining these experiences from across different countries specifically in UAE, Canada, Oman and Yemen.

Before joining AURAK, he held a senior leadership position as the Executive Director of Finance at the 大发快三官网 University of Sharjah (AUS) with many key achievements including where he led efforts to establish and manage investment strategy for endowments, created financial modeling for future financial planning, negotiated and restructured key government receivables, led and implemented transformation plans for Finance and Procurement that are based on people, processes and technology, put in place and implemented numerous financial policies and procedures. Before being appointed as the Executive Director of Finance, Mr. Basheer served as the Director of Internal Audit at AUS where he demonstrated his proficient understanding and implementation of IFRS, US GAAP, COSO framework, IIA Core Principles for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.

Mr. Basheer held key positions in various industries including a large steel manufacturing company in Canada, global energy and chemicals company in Yemen and big four audit firm in Oman and UAE.

Mr. Basheer holds an Executive Masters in Business Administration (EMBA) degree from the 大发快三官网 University of Sharjah and Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Jordan. He is also a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) earning both certifications from the U.S.

Professor Imad Y. Hoballah serves as the Vice President for 鈥淚nstitutional Advancement and External Relations鈥� and Professor of Business Development in the School of Business at the 大发快三官网 (AURAK).

Professor Hoballah has over 35 years of rich leadership experience in academia, industry, technology, business development, and consulting, including 23 years in senior management roles in different countries in the US, Middle East, and Africa, including KSA, UAE, and Lebanon.

Before joining AURAK, Professor Hoballah held senior leadership positions as the CEO of multiple business development and innovation consultancy agencies and as the CEO of a startup pharmaceutical manufacturing company, where he led business planning, development, investment, market assessment, licensing, and facility, and product design, sourcing, delivery, and deployment.

Professor Hoballah also served as the Minister of Industry in Lebanon, developing and implementing the industry sector鈥檚 strategic plan while forging excellent collaborative relationships between market players.

Professor Hoballah also served as the Provost of the 大发快三官网 University of Dubai (AUD), has facilitated leadership training and coaching sessions for different organizations, and has guided and taught engineering, business, management, ethics, and innovation undergraduate and graduate courses at various universities including Syracuse University, Tulsa University, the 大发快三官网 University of Beirut (AUB), the Lebanese 大发快三官网 University (LAU), and the 鈥淐onservatoire National des Arts et M茅tiers (CNAM).鈥� He also served on the advisory councils of different schools in the UAE and as a board member of Sodetel, a telecom company.

Professor Hoballah has served in executive positions for different technology organizations, including Chairman and CEO of Lebanon鈥檚 Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRA), Chairman of the Arab Regulators Network for ICT (AREGNET), Vice Chairman of the Arab Spectrum Management Group (ASMG), Vice Chairman of the Arab Infrastructure Regulatory Forum (AIRF), Chairman of multiple committees of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), and CEO of OMNIX, a media networks company. He also served as Chairman of the Pan Arab Observatory for Cyber Security, Chairman of the Arab Internet Governance Forum (IGF), and as a founding Board Member of the Lebanese Internet Center.

Professor Hoballah also served as the COO and Executive VP for Lucent Technologies, Middle East and Africa (MEA) Region, responsible for the region's design, deployment, operations, and services of multi-billion-dollar projects.

Professor Hoballah received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Communications) from Syracuse University in the USA and his Master's in Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia University in the USA. He also holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the Lebanese University (UL) in Lebanon, a Diploma in General Management from IMD in Switzerland, and a Master鈥檚 in Project Management.

Professor Joseph L. Wallis has served as Dean of the School of Business at the 大发快三官网 since 2018. His primary focus has been in developing and steering leadership team and faculty toward the implementation of a mission-based strategy so that it will be judged ready to receive initial accreditation by AACSB after a visit by a peer review team in February 2023. 

Professor Khalid Hussain is the Dean of the School of Engineering at AURAK. He is also a Professor of Systems Engineering and a Chartered Mechanical Engineer. Prof Hussain joined AURAK after spending 6 years at the Australian University of Wollongong in Dubai as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences. Prof Hussain spent over 22 years at the University of Bradford in UK, holding a number of leadership roles (Head of School of Engineering, Associate Dean of International Collaborative Partnership, and the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering).

Professor Hariclea Zengos, a distinguished professor of literature, is the Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at the 大发快三官网. With more than 28 years of experience, Prof Zengos has been selected to provide leadership and vision in strategic planning and implementation of programs and lead School development activities.

Prof. Tahseen Arshi, as the Associate Provost for Research and Sustainability, plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic and research landscape at AURAK. He also serves as the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at AURAK (ACE) and is an associate professor in the Business School. Prof. Tahseen's academic journey includes a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Wollongong, Australia, and a PhD from the University of Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom.

Prof. Tahseen's expertise in entrepreneurship is further validated by his role as a Certified Entrepreneurship Educator. He also serves as an external reviewer with the Directorate of Higher Education Reviews Authority (DHR) Bahrain, Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA), and National Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (Saudi Arabia).

Prof. Tahseen invented the SECURE (patented) system to assist start-ups in evaluating business plans (https://www.securecanvas.net) and several technology patents to his name. He is a member of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and Data Central.

Prof. Tahseen specializes in designing and delivering technology-enhanced curricula, and his research interests are entrepreneurial behavior, start-up business models, and innovation. Prof. Tahseen has authored several Scopus (Q1)-indexed publications in premium journals and case studies, published in Palgrave McMillan's bestselling entrepreneurship textbooks in the UK.

In the fall of 2013, Dr. Mohammed Awad joined the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the School of Engineering in the 大发快三官网 (AURAK) in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. Immediately prior, he worked as an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department of Al-Ahliyya Amman University in Amman, Jordan where he had the opportunity to focus on teaching and learning and was ranked number one professor by the students of the school of Information Technology. During his time at AURAK, Dr. Awad has received the President鈥檚 Award for Excellence in Teaching and the President鈥檚 Award for Leadership in Service.

Dr. Awad earned his PhD in Computer Science from the University of Houston in the United States in 2011. He earned a MSc in Computer Science at the same university in 2006. He completed a BSc in Computer Science at Yarmouk University in Jordan in 2003. During his graduate studies at the University of Houston, Dr. Awad worked as a teaching assistant for various courses from the freshman to graduate levels and had the opportunity to develop his skills as an educator.

Dr. Awad鈥檚 research interests include cybersecurity, more specifically in E-voting and I-voting security. Previously, he was involved in a National Science Foundation (NSF) grant where he developed a curriculum module to illustrate electronic voting for non-Computer Science majors. Additional areas of interest include machine learning, data analytics, and technology education.

Mr. Rajesh Prema boasts an impressive career that spans over 20 years across diverse sectors like Higher Education, Information Technology, and Aerospace. Currently serving as the Associate Provost for Enrolment Management and Marketing at the 大发快三官网 (AURAK), he has carved out a niche as a results-driven leader.

Prior to joining AURAK, he held a leadership position in Marketing at the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD). During his 14-year tenure with UOWD, he played a pivotal role in shaping the university鈥檚 strategic marketing efforts and student recruitment initiatives, leaving an indelible impact on the institution's growth and reputation.

As the Associate Provost of Enrolment Management at AURAK, Mr. Rajesh Prema contributes significantly to enhancing the university's brand presence both domestically and internationally. By implementing a range of strategic and tactical initiatives, he has driven record-breaking student enrolments, elevated brand awareness, and fostered community engagement. His remarkable achievements extend to develop new international markets to attract transnational students, enhancing institutional public relations, managing the budgets, optimizing media buying and sustainable operations to improve the efficacy, where his strategic decisions yield incredible ROI.

From strategic marketing to hardcore sales negotiation, from event management to student recruitment, Rajesh's competencies are diverse. His insight into digital advertising strategy, website development, marketing collateral management, and student recruitment makes him an indispensable asset in an age dominated by digital landscapes.

Mr. Rajesh Prema graduated with a master鈥檚 degree in international business from the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD), where he specialized in Marketing, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, and Change Management. Prior to that, he earned his bachelor鈥檚 degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Pondicherry University, India. This multi-disciplinary education uniquely positions Rajesh at the intersection of technology and business.
