Honor Code
The Student Honor Code is a set of principles that guide behavior and actions of students, fostering a culture of academic integrity and ethical conduct. Adhering to the Honor Code demonstrates a commitment to honesty, fairness, and personal growth.
To foster a stronger sense of mutual responsibility, respect, trust, and fairness within the AURAK community, we, the student members of the university community, have established this honor code:
鈥淎s a member of the AURAK family, I pledge to be reliable, responsible, honorable, and embrace only the success and recognition I earn and deserve. I will act with integrity and honesty and strive daily to become the best version of myself 鈥 a decent human being, a conscientious student, a good citizen, and a successful professional.鈥

The Honor Code and the associated Student Academic Integrity Policy are designed to uphold the University鈥檚 academic integrity, encourage consistent ethical behavior among students, and cultivate an environment of honorable academic achievement. The Honor Code is integral to AURAK鈥檚 university life, and students are responsible for understanding and adhering to its provisions.
While honesty and personal integrity are expected from every student, this Code and its policies and procedures provide clear guidelines and expectations. To uphold these standards within the academic community, students and faculty are required to follow the reporting policy and procedures outlined herein.
At the beginning of each semester, faculty members are expected to explain the Honor Code and their expectations for students in each class, with specific emphasis on plagiarism and course-related requirements. They should also clarify how collaboration or assistance from others is permitted in academic work. Students are encouraged to seek clarification if they do not fully understand an instructor's expectations regarding the Honor Code. Students are not only obligated to abide by the code themselves but also to promote respect for and compliance with the code among their peers. This includes the responsibility to report potential violations by fellow students, as failure to do so may also be considered a violation of the Honor Code.
Faculty members bear the responsibility of maintaining the integrity of the learning and evaluation process. They are expected to actively supervise exams and enforce the prohibition on the possession of mobile phones during exams. Faculty may take additional actions they deem necessary to ensure academic integrity.
While the internet and easy access to information and knowledge are commonplace, the University is committed to students understanding and demonstrating the ethical values underlying scholarship. For all academic assignments, projects, and presentations, students must ensure proper acknowledgment of the sources of any information incorporated in their work.
