Office of Research and Sustainability
The Office of Research and Sustainability (ORS) at the 大发快三官网 is vital in managing and overseeing all research and sustainability endeavors. It facilitates high-impact research, fosters innovation, generates cutting-edge knowledge, fosters scientific advancement, and contributes to societal progress. ORCS manages the appointment of distinguished fellows and scholars, oversees scholarly publication processes, manages sponsored programs and community service programs, and administers the RAK Research and Innovation Center (RAKRIC) and the Center for Executive and Professional Education (CEPE).

ORS is committed to supporting and enhancing high-impact research and scholarly activities at AURAK by providing research mentoring and professional development opportunities and fostering collaborations among faculty members within and outside the University. Moreover, by offering services that address community needs, ORS strives to strengthen the connection between AURAK's faculty, staff, and students and the broader community for societal impact. Its ultimate goal is to establish mutually beneficial partnerships between the University and the community, which will contribute to the growth and development of both.
As part of its community service, ORS engages with society, promotes social responsibility, and fosters civic engagement by actively connecting with and addressing the community's needs and sustainability goals. Through impactful initiatives and partnerships, ORS strives to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals and communities.

Mission Statement
The Office of Research and Sustainability supports faculty and students in engaging in high-impact research and scholarly activities and facilitating the engagement of AURAK faculty, staff, and students with the community, including industry, businesses, organizations, and government entities.
Vision Statement
To prepare leaders and entrepreneurs by engaging students, faculty, and staff in high-impact research and community outreach and creative initiatives involving local, regional, and global partners.
Goals
- To enhance the research productivity of the faculty and encourage students' involvement in research.
- To facilitate research partnerships of the faculty and AURAK research centers with the industry for high-impact research.
- To provide analysis, research, and information to the School Deans as they work with faculty to develop and implement processes and procedures to encourage scholarship and research.
- To assist faculty in looking for funding opportunities and collaborations.
- To review and implement research and community service policies and procedures.
- To develop and execute community engagement projects and programs with industry, businesses, organizations, and government entities.

Prof. Tahseen Arshi, as the Associate Provost for Research and Sustainability, plays a pivotal role in shaping the academic and research landscape at AURAK. He also serves as the Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at AURAK (ACE) and is an associate professor in the Business School. Prof. Tahseen's academic journey includes a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Wollongong, Australia, and a PhD from the University of Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom. Prof. Tahseen's expertise in entrepreneurship is further validated by his role as a Certified Entrepreneurship Educator. He also serves as an external reviewer with the Directorate of Higher Education Reviews Authority (DHR) Bahrain, Oman Academic Accreditation Authority (OAAA), and National Academic Accreditation and Evaluation (Saudi Arabia). Prof. Tahseen invented the SECURE (patented) system to assist start-ups in evaluating business plans (https://www.securecanvas.net) and several technology patents to his name. He is a member of the Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) and Data Central. Prof. Tahseen specializes in designing and delivering technology-enhanced curricula, and his research interests are entrepreneurial behavior, start-up business models, and innovation. Prof. Tahseen has authored several Scopus (Q1)-indexed publications in premium journals and case studies, published in Palgrave McMillan's bestselling entrepreneurship textbooks in the UK.
