Academic Recovery Programs and Counseling
The Office of Academic Recovery Programs, which operates under the Office of Student Affairs, is dedicated to supporting students in their pursuit of academic and personal triumph. Starting from the moment students join the University, until they graduate, students can avail themselves of the Department's complimentary services upon request.
Mission
The Mission of the Department of Academic Recovery Programs and Counseling (DARPC) is to provide support services to the community of the ´ó·¢¿ìÈý¹ÙÍø (AURAK) by ensuring equal access to educational facilities, programs, services, and activities and by providing additional assistance through counseling, and collaborations with other AURAK resources.
Vision
In support of the Mission of AURAK, the Academic Recovery Programs exist to enhance the development and success of all members of the AURAK community with regard to academics, personal and interpersonal growth. Adhering to the values of excellence, community, respect, personal development, responsible citizenship, and integrity, the Department recognizes the uniqueness, dignity, value, and gifts of all individuals.

Our Functions
The Office of Academic Recovery Programs offers counseling services encompassing academic and personal sessions. In addition, students who face difficulties in their learning journey can benefit from individual testing to understand their learning styles and strengths and engage with a Disability Services Coordinator.
Support services are available for students with permanent and temporary disabilities. Counseling
The ´ó·¢¿ìÈý¹ÙÍø (AURAK) provides counseling services for students enrolled in 3 or more credit hours through the Department of Academic Recovery Programs and Counseling. These services encompass academic counseling, individual counseling, and the provision of self-help DVDs and workshops.

Disability Services
The University endeavors to support and assist students with special needs within the available resources. Students with disabilities can seek additional support through the Department of Disability Services. Requests made are treated confidentially and with the utmost discretion. Students with documented disabilities will receive reasonable accommodations to ensure equal access to educational facilities, programs, services, and activities.
To request these services, students can reach out to the Office of Student Affairs located on the First Floor of Building D. The staff at the Department of Academic Recovery Programs, and Counseling will verify the disability and determine the necessary accommodations to promote equal access to facilities, programs, activities, and educational opportunities at AURAK.
At AURAK, students are encouraged to actively participate in their own learning. Students visit the Testing Services for the following reasons:
They seek assistance when facing difficulties in a particular course.
They seek assistance when facing challenges in multiple or all of their courses.
They desire to acquire more effective study skills focused on test.
