Health Insurance
All students (undergraduate and graduate) enrolled at AURAK are required to have health insurance. International students, under sponsorship by AURAK, will automatically have the health insurance policy ordered for them and the annual expense of the insurance premium will be billed to their student account. UAE-based students who are covered by their parent鈥檚 health insurance policy (or other comparable health insurance policy) are required to provide proof of valid insurance coverage by submitting details (declaration of coverage page and insurance card) in the EUMS student portal. The declaration page submitted must specify the extent of coverage and include the AED upper limit of coverage provided by the policy. This confirmation of health insurance coverage must be received by the last day of the class drop/add period each fall and spring semester. Refunds are not granted for proof of insurance that is submitted after the last scheduled day to drop/add classes each semester. The required two documents must be uploaded on the AURAK EUMS portal by accessing the following link:
By entering this information before the deadline date, each semester, UAE-based students will be exempted from the purchase of the University offered insurance policy. If a student does not enter proof of insurance coverage the University will automatically purchase health insurance on behalf of the student and the policy fee will be billed to the student鈥檚 account. UAE nationals and citizens of other GCC countries who are covered by the UAE Government Health Insurance policy are also exempted from the purchase of the University offered insurance policy. For questions regarding Health Insurance, contact Ms. Shamila Beevi in Building D, Ground Floor. In addition, she may be reached via email (shamila.beevi@aurak.ac.ae) or office phone ( +971-7-246-8851).
