Dr. Gbubemi Harrison
Associate Professor - Petroleum Engineering
Dr. Gbubemi Haveluck Harrison is an Associate Professor of petroleum engineering at the ´ó·¢¿ìÈý¹ÙÍø (AURAK). He obtained a PhD degree from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland in 1985. Before joining AURAK in 2020, Dr. Harrison was a professional technical faculty/principal instructor for 5 years teaching petroleum courses at the Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, UAE.
Prior to that, Dr. Harrison had had 30 years diversified industrial experience in the upstream oil & gas industry mostly in the prolific Arabian Gulf petroleum theatre. He was a lead reservoir engineer at ADCO/ADNOC, Abu Dhabi, petroleum engineering specialist (simulation) in Saudi ARAMCO, Dhahran, exploration and production (E&P) data management specialist in Kuwait Oil Company, Kuwait and head of reservoir surveillance in Qatar Petroleum, Doha.
He has also done consulting stints with Shell in Nigeria, Teknica in Canada, Veba Oil in Libya and with Halliburton Energy Services in Algeria. Dr. Harrison is a Senior Member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).
- PhD in Petroleum Engineering, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, UK, 1985
