
Dr. Mohamed Mahdi
Associate Professor - Management / Alumni Coordinator and Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter Liaison
Dr Mohamed-Osman Shereif Mahdi Abaker holds a PhD in management from the University of Aberdeen and an MBA from the University of Wales in the U.K. He spent most of his career teaching at the university postgraduate and undergraduate levels in different countries, including the United Kingdom, Oman, Qatar, Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
Dr Mohamed Mahdi serves as a certified reviewer for the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) in the UAE. He served as Chair of the Department of Management at the 大发快三官网. Head of the department at Sudan University of Science and Technology and worked as the director of the Master of Management and Organization at Dhofar University. Instructor at Qatar University, a Teaching Fellow at the University of Aberdeen Business School, and a Professor of Management at Dhofar University, as well as King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM).
Dr Mahdi served as an external examiner for master鈥檚 dissertations and PhD theses in Bahrain, South Africa, and others. A reviewer and an editorial board member for several regional and international journals. He reviewed the Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management at Jubail University College and the Master of Management and Organization at Dhofar University. He participated in curriculum development at Qatar University and designed the bachelor鈥檚 degree Program in Business Administration at Sudan University of Science and Technology.
Dr Mahdi attended AACSB applied assessment conferences, teaching effectiveness seminars, and assurance of learning seminars. He has authored and co-authored papers in international and regional refereed journals. Attended and presented papers at various international conferences in the U.K., USA, Australia, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Oman, Beijing, Colombo, and Malaysia.
Dr Mahdi was awarded a Certificate of Recognition as a Long-Serving Department Chair of Management in the School of Business, a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of his contribution to the AACSB accreditation of the AURAK School of Business in 2023, and a Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of his contribution to the SACSCOC compliance certificate submission and visit for the reaffirmation of accreditation in 2023.
Dr Mohamed Mahdi received internal and external research grants and was awarded the Best Paper Certificate on Recognition of Outstanding Contribution at the Academy of International Business (AIB) Annual Conference and the Global Conference on Business and Social Sciences. His areas of research and teaching interest are organizational behavior, including diversity management, culture, leadership, and HR management; organizational change management, including strategies, technology, innovation, and international business.
